Dishub Asked to Create Policy as Replacement of Motor Restriction

City Council's Commission B wants Transportation Dept. to prepare a new policy to follow up supreme court (MA) decision that cancelled Pergub No. 141/2015 related to amendment on Pergub No. 195/2014 about Motorcycle Restriction.

"This is Dishub authority to replace old policy with a new one," said Yuke Yurike, member of Commission B, Tuesday (1/9).
According to her, Dishub needs to review motorcycle restriction policy which has been applied for three years. Its analysis is hoped to be a strong foundation in making a new policy.

Similar thing was also conveyed by another Commission B member, Syarifuddin. He said, further evaluation is needed to re-allow motorcycle to pass along Jalan MH. Thamrin-Medan Merdeka Barat.
"The thing must be concerned is road that become narrower. Especially increase in number of motorcycle is very high," he mentioned.
He added, his side will hold meeting with Jakarta Dishub to know the detail about executive next move regarding to MA decision.
